Ping love Joy

上個月剛看完這本書，　覺得裡面有很多耐人尋味的道理，特地用紅筆畫了起來，昨晚花了些時間整理在電腦上，　希望也可以和我的好朋友們一起分享它！ 1. That was the end of his privacy. 2. Accept what you are able to do and what you are not able to do 3. Accept the past as past, without denying it or discarding it 4. Learn to forgive yourself and to forgive others 5. Don’t assume that it’s too late to get involved. 6. I traded lots of dreams for a bigger paycheck, and I never even realized I was doing it. 7. Love wins, Love always wins. 8. The culture we have does not make people feel good about themselves. And you have to be strong enough to say if the culture doesn’t work, don’t buy it. 9. So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even they’re busy doing things they think are important. This is because they’re chasing the wrong things. 10. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning. 11. If you really want it, then you’ll make your dream happen. 12. Because it’s the ultimate sign of dependency. 13. Someone wiping your bottom. But I’m working on it. I’m trying to enjoy the process. Yes, after all, I get to be a baby one more time. 14. Now that I’m suffering, I feel closer to people who suffer than I ever did before. 15. The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out ove, and to let it come in. 16. Love is the only rational act. 17. Morrie waited on those kisses like a puppy waits on milk. 18. Everyone knows they’re going to die, but nobody believes it. If we did, we would do things differently. 19. To know your’re going to die, and to be prepared for it at any time. That way you can actully be more involved in your life while your’re living. 20. Once you learn how to die, you learn how to live. 21. It’s natural to die. The fact that we make such a big hullabaloo over it is al because we don’t see ourselves as part of nature. We think because we’re human we’re something above nature. 22. Death ends a life, not a relationship 23. Talk about how much we mean to each other. 24. There is no such thing as “ too late “ in life. 25. Well, the truth is , if you really listen to that bird on your shoulder, if you accept that you can die at any time then you might not be as ambitious as you are. 26. There is no experience like having children. 27. Aging is not just decay, you know. It’s growth. 28. Because if you’ve found meaning in your life, you don’t want to go back. You want to go forward. 29. How can I be envious of where you are—when I’ve been there myself. 30. We put ur values in the wrong things. And it leads to very disillusioned lives. 31. Money is not a substitute for tenderness, and power is not a substitute for tenderness. 32. Offering others what you have to give. 33. People haven’t found meaning in their lives, so they’re running all the time looking for it. 34. They don’t know who they are themselves—so how can they know who they’re marrying? 35. If you don’t respect the other person, you’re gonna have a lot of trouble. If you don’t know how to compromise, you’re gonna have a lot of trouble. If you can’t talk openly about what goes on between you, you’re gonna have a lot of trouble. And if you don’t have a common set of values in life, you’re gonna have a lot of trouble. Your values must be alike. 36. Love each other or perish. 37. The little things I can obey. But the big things—how we think, what we value—those you must choose yourself. You can’t let anyone—or any society – determine those for you. 38. It’s the same for women not being thin enough, or men not being rich enough. It’s just what our culture would have you believe. Don’t believe it. 39. Invest in the human family. Invest in people. Build a little community of those you love and who love you. 40. Love each other or die. 41. Forgive yourself before you die. Then forgive others. 42. It’s not just other people we need to forgive, we also need to forgive ourselves. 43. Make peace. You need to make peace with yourself and everyone around you.
